Will To Meaning

GOOOD philosophy reading done today - I'd nearly lost hope. Do you live for meaning, power or pleasure? You'd like to think it was meaning - you can convince yourself that it isn't power quite easily, but who can rule out that they are living for pleasure, if only in the short term, or as a goal far in the distance?

Reading list to follow. Or not. Even if you are living for beautiful women and men and cars and shoes and chairs and lingerie and wallpaper and bathrooms and paintings and vases and watches and rings and lipsticks and hotels and cafés and restaurants and all the rest of such hideous, indulgent, materialistic bullshit, it really can make you happy, if only until the calling of living with acute meaning and serenity hits you like a tonne of Mother Theresas.

Until then my shallow and wonderful friends, some gorgeous perceptual stimuli instead.
