I get confused with feminist theses - should we be dressing like men or should we be dressing how we like? Is dressing like a woman objectifying yourself, succumbing to the gender norms put in place by men for men's own "good", or is it powerful to be feminine, to dress like a woman, to differentiate yourself? I clearly have no idea. Although I'd like to think of myself as a feminist in some respects, I am definitely of the camp whereby I feel better dressing like a woman. Is that a contradiction? The concern that I'm a walking hypocrite, an embodiment of the atrocities of the objectified woman, the societal slave, will I fear never overtake the high I get from wearing a new dress. I love looking like a fifties housewife. I do! Is that so bad? Probably. I'm not arsed though. Soz!
